KenzoBenetton eyewear is a product line of the Benetton Group was formed by 4 Benetton siblings, namely Luciano, Giuliana, Gilberto and Carlo Benetton in 1965. In 1969 they bought the Villa Minelli located in Ponzano, Italy, which took more than 15 years to restore. The Villa Minelli had been officially made the Benetton Group’s headquarters from the mid 1980s and still remains as headquarters till today.

The Benetton Group boasts of the idea of color in casual wear, coupled with strong Italian highlights in quality clothing that is full of passion concurrently maintaining great style. Thus, this was the basis on which the first international United Colors of Benetton store was opened in Paris in 1969. The Benetton Group consists of 5 brands which are, United Colors of Benetton, Undercolors, Sisley, Playlife and Killer Loop, each of which represent different concepts in apparel and therefore target different market groups. United Colors of Benetton consist of practical casual wear designs with strong color and energy, suitable to be worn daily, whether for work or for leisure in both urban and natural environments. The Undercolors range consists of underwear, beachwear and sleepwear catering for both the male and female wearers. Next, Sisley represents trendsetting bold designs suited for young and dynamic men and women. Casual and sporty looks are depicted by Playlife which focuses on comfortable sport wear suitable for any sporting activity. Finally, Killer Loop as the name suggests, promotes street wear designs, both apparel and footwear specifically for the younger generation. Today, Benetton produces more than 110 million garments every year and has a presence in 120 countries around the world, with a turnover of 1.7 billion Euros yearly.
